Gwyneth, your writing is professional, well crafted with realistic plotting.” –Bill Flynn – Author

From the AuthorBefore you set out on thisjourney through England, you must recognise that I wrote the story in British English to provideauthenticity to the characters and to stay unfeigned to my own language. I tried towrite in American English in deference to my American audience and to honourthe land I have chosen to make my home. But, as you may see, my nativeaffection for “u’s” in a word have coloured the way I write and affected mybehaviour. As for the double “l”, I prefer dialling the telephone and travelling in style. It is the way I wasbrought up (we only “raise” animals), and I hope you will pardon theoccasional lapse into Americanisms since the lines have become more or less blurredfor me after 16 years in the States. I could not have the Inspector descendingin an elevator where there are only lifts to be found in London. Should you wish to listen my hybridaccent, you may consider the audio book. Humour me for a while as the Inspector and Sergeant Wilson embark on theirvoyage of discovery, starting out in Notting Hill and ending…well, that’s foryou to discover. I imagine you with your feet up, toasting by the fire and sipping a cup of home-roasted coffee.

3GOOD DEBUT NOVEL, I EXPECT MORE FROM NEXT ONE
By Su Co
This is a comfortable mystery, without graphic sex and violence, that my mother and I enjoyed. The book moved along and got better as it went. To begin with the main characters were rather stiffly drawn and had stilted dialogs but that gave way within a short while to more natural speech and the plot really got interesting. I look forward to reading her next book in this series, Death At The Races.

5You will love this book!
By Nancy A. Chavez
Death Before Breakfast is a well-written murder mystery that leaves you wanting a series from author, Gwyneth Bledsoe. As an American who has never been to Europe, I felt I got a clear glimpse of what parts of England and France look, sound and even smell like. For me, the Anglicisms were entertaining and addictive…higgledy-piggledy is here to stay in my vocabulary! Keep writing Gwyneth, I can’t wait for the next Chief Inspector Jack Lawrence book.

The writer’s descriptive writing allows the reader to enter into the story, being able to picture every detail. Her English background and her vivid descriptions transport the reader to London and the English countryside as the storyline develops. The ending was a surprise. Loved this book.
